Q: What materials do you use in manufacturing?
A: We use all of the basic metals including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass.
Q: What is the maximum thickness of material you can stamp?
A: The answer to this question depends upon a number of factors including type of material and length of the cut. The best thing to do is give us a call and we will respond based on your particular application. More info can be found on our Stamping Page.
Q: How large a part can you handle?
A: The parts we manufacture vary greatly in size from small electronic components to items as large as electric motor housings.
Q: Is there a minimum quantity for your production runs?
A: Stampco is not in the short run business; all of our work is custom and is run on permanent, dedicated tooling.
Q: Do you have a catalog of standard products?
A: No, because everything we make is custom.
Q: What is your standard lead time?
A: Generally speaking, tooling requires an 8-12 week lead time and parts production requires another 2-4 weeks. Basic jobs can come in under these ranges; complex jobs may require more time.
Q: In what formats can you receive parts specs and prints?
A: We are able to read most popular CAD formats including IGES, DXF, and DWG. If you have any questions, just give us a call.
Q: Do you have a preventive maintenance program?
A: Because Stampco is registered under ISO 9001:2000, you can be assured that we meet strict standards for preventive maintenance.
Q: Are you a union shop?
A: No, we are a non-union shop.
Q: How many shifts do you run?
A: We are completely flexible so that production schedules conform to work flow. We can add shifts throughout the operation or in a specified department to maintain our nearly 100% on time delivery record.
Q: What is your employee turnover rate?
A: We are fortunate to have an exceptionally loyal and cohesive workforce. The average tenure of our employees is 15-20 years and the turnover rate is about 1% per year.

A: We will be happy to supply references upon request.
